Things I did in my spare time
Tree Top Canopy Expedition
An really awesome experience. There are platforms on the top of the
trees and you glide from one tree to another hanging on cables with
two security ropes, 30m above the ground. You almost feel like Tarzan
or a monkey. Seeing the forest from this point of view is really
a new experience. Very professional guides make sure you are safe
every single moment, even on the suspended platforms you are always
fixed. It might be a little scary for those who are really afraid
of heights. I just enjoyed the three hour tour and can deeply recommend
it! Afterwards you are served a light lunch and drinks you get along
the tour as well.
First they teach you how to brake and slow down and are adviceful
and patient when you get your foot or hand stuck as Virginia was
when she tried to move around the tree to glide further."
Woodcutters Journey
"This tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Driving through the indigenous
forest of Tsitsikamma they teach you everything about the trees
and plants in it. You get better understanding of the circulation
of nature. They also serve you a very delicious lunch and although
I aready had one with the tree top canopy tour, I just couldn't
resist to eat a little."
