To all parents who may have concerns of their child's adventure to Rocky Road and WWISA...........I had the privilege of spending time their with my daughter after she had been there for three months.....I only wish that I had been there at the beginning of her journey because all my parental concerns and fears would have been eased. Mac and Rocky and their many friends are the most warm and caring folks you could ever meet. From the moment anyone walks into the kitchen of Rocky Road they are given a sincere welcome and are made to feel like "family".......this is as safe as safe can be and it is truly a place where your child can grow, mature, bring energy, find themselves if need be, be themselves and become their own person, nurture all that we taught them as parents, live with others from all over the world, be independent, be responsible for themselves and their actions, feel the pride of South Africa at Rocky Road, share their dreams, discuss their inner feelings, build their character.......all this while doing good for whatever cause or organization they choose to partake in. One last thing.....while no one will openly admit it.....Rocky and Mac in their own quiet ways watch over and take care of the folks (our children) at Rocky Road and the folks at Rocky Road feel the kindness and the safety of the nest of Rocky Road (Mac and Rocky). I truly look forward to the day when I can return to Rocky Road.
